How we built the Dutch Glory store

Case study • Shopify build

Dutch Glory is a premium Dutch vodka and lifestyle merch brand. This case study breaks down how we translated our mission into a clean, fast Shopify experience — built for retail credibility, brand culture, and European growth.

The mission

We didn’t want “another vodka store.” We wanted a brand platform — something that feels like culture, not a catalog. Dutch Glory is built on Dutch heritage, confidence, and sharp identity. The store needed to carry that same energy: minimal, premium, and unmistakable.

“Every detail should feel intentional — from the first hero scroll to the last footer link. Clean. Bold. Dutch Glory.”

Brand direction

Brand goal

Build a premium, culture-first store that sells merch and supports retail credibility.

Customer promise

Smooth premium spirit, clean unisex styling, and a store experience that feels elite.

How we designed the experience

The design system is black-first with high contrast, large typography, and strong negative space. It reads premium instantly, and it keeps the focus on content: bottle imagery, lifestyle shots, and merch drops.

  • 01

    Premium hierarchy

Big headline moments, short supporting copy, and clear CTAs. No clutter. Every scroll has a purpose.

  • 02

    Trust through clarity

Retail availability and partner pathways are visible and simple. We removed friction and kept the store “tight.”

  • 03

    Mobile-first polish

We optimized for thumb-scrolling: clean sections, readable line length, and fast-loading media.

What we built on Shopify

Shopify gave us the speed to build and iterate without compromising on branding. We focused on a few high-impact sections: a clean hero, retail partners visibility, FAQ confidence blocks, and merch presentation that feels like a drop — not a discount rack.

Retail partners

A dedicated page to support retail inquiries and show Dutch Glory’s nationwide presence.

Merch-first structure

Tracksuits and tees presented like exclusive items: minimal copy, strong visuals, fast checkout.

Clean content blocks

Reusable sections that keep the aesthetic consistent across new campaigns.

Performance focus

Image sizing + layout stability to avoid jumps on laptop and mobile (smooth scrolling).

Results we cared about

This build wasn’t about vanity. It was about brand control, trust, and the ability to launch campaigns without rebuilding the store. The outcome is a premium storefront that can support vodka culture, lifestyle merch, and retail growth — all in one system.

Brand consistency

Black-first identity, strong typography, and clean sections across every page.

Faster iteration

New drops and partner content can be added without redesigning the whole site.
